R.I.P. Roc Raida. Yesterday one of the greatest DJs past away. He is one of the reasons I began deejaying. I remember way back in '95 when my homey (what up Levi where the fuck you at?) first showed me footage of the 1995 DMC world finals. We cut class to watch it. I remember watching Q-Bert, Mix Master Mike, Noize & the legendary Roc Raida an I was like yo I gotta start DJing. I was inspired so much, one year later I stopped rhyming, bought a set up and was deejaying. I can't even begin to tell you how much footage of Roc Raida, X-Men, I.S.P and Beat Junkies we used to watch on the regular to learn shit. Roc Raida was one of the pioneers of turntablism and beat juggling. You will be missed.
